The Eryngium originates from South America and delights us in nature with its green and blue colours during its flowering period from July to September. The flowering plant, which belongs to the parsley family is also often called amethyst sea holly. There are over 230 different varieties of this flower from which 26 species come from Europe. Often, the eryngium is combined with elegant delphiniums, sweet peas or marguerites in bouquets.
