The Protea originates from South America and delights us with red, light pink, yellow or orange flowers. The whole colour splendour of the flower can be admired in nature from November to March. There are 115 different varieties of the protea, which is sometimes also called sugarbush. Often, the flowering plant belonging to the family Proteaceae is combined with elegant peonies, anthuriums and sprigs of cymbidium in boquets.
