DIY – 3D mural Flower wall
Flowers and leaves! We have expanded the ‘Spring Fever’ look and designed more flower and leaf tendrils, showing you additional techniques for designing a 3D wall mural using simple methods. The different rows were also created from leftovers. Lush ranunculus flowers can be taken apart, and you'll often be amazed at how many individual textile leaves a ranunculus has. Shop the look!
Design tip: First, determine the area where the wall design will be placed. Use a tape measure to mark the spacing between the individual rows, both at the top and bottom. We spaced the rows 20 cm apart. To make it easier later on, we covered the rows with satin ribbons and simply attached them with drawing pins. This has the advantage that the rows will look straight later on and can be easily removed when the decoration is no longer needed. For a row 2 metres long, we needed 10 petals, which were attached to the wall at intervals of 20 cm. Mark the intervals in advance with a tape measure.
Pins: The easiest method is to attach them with pins. This works particularly well with the petals because the pin also represents the pistil. You can also colour-coordinate them by using coloured pins.
Cramps: We attached the leaf tendrils to the satin ribbons with hot glue, which was a very simple and quick solution. Start with the leaves from top to bottom so that they overlap nicely.
Example of use: As living room decoration, for events, showrooms.
